Job summary

Justteachers are recruiting a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Leeds from September 2026, delivering History, Geography and/or Religious Studies to KS3 and KS4. Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
  • Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, and/or Religious Studies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their academic targets and personal development goals.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development.

Justteachers are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Leeds from September 2026.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging curriculum that encourages critical thinking and a love of learning. You will be joining a collaborative department that values creativity, innovation, and student success.

Key Responsibilities:
