Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a Humanities KS3 teacher for a Redditch school. The role involves teaching Humanities across KS3, planning lessons, marking work and tracking progress, with a focus on strong behaviour management in a challenging environment.

The position is a long-term, full-time role with an ASAP start. UK QTS is required, and experience with KS3 Humanities and safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent.
• Experience teaching Humanities at KS3.
• Confident teaching of History, Geography and RE depending on experience.
• Experience planning, marking and assessing students' work.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet different learning needs.
• Safeguarding Level 1 trained.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Humanities lessons across KS3.
• Mark students' work and provide constructive feedback.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching where necessary.

Humanities Teacher Specification

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a middle school in Redditch, with an immediate start available. This is a long-term, part-time role teaching KS3 students only.

The successful applicant will teach Humanities across KS3, with responsibility for planning and delivering lessons, marking students' work and assessing progress. The role requires a confident teacher who can create engaging lessons, adapt learning to meet students' needs and maintain strong classroom management.

Please note, this is a challenging school with high levels of behavioural need. An experienced, resilient teacher with excellent behaviour management skills is essential to succeed in this environment.
