Teaching Personnel is seeking passionate and knowledgeable Humanities Supply Teachers for a variety of opportunities in our partner secondary schools across the region, starting in September 2025. We are working exclusively with a range of schools to support their staffing needs in subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Studies, and Citizenship.
Whether you're looking for day-to-day flexibility or a long-term post, we can offer a range of contracts tailored to your availability and career goals.
As a Humanities supply teacher, your duties may include:
Teaching your specialist subject(s) across Key Stages 3–5, depending on experience and placement
Delivering high-quality lessons and maintaining continuity in student learning
Following school policies and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Marking work and providing feedback in line with school policy (for longer-term placements)
Contributing to the wider school community where required
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Specialism in one or more Humanities subjects (e.g. History, Geography, RS)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Adaptability and a professional approach to cover and planning
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (assistance available if needed)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
