Job Description:

You will be working with Hays Education, one of the largest recruitment agencies within primary schools in Rugby and surrounding villages. We are recruiting Supply Teachers who can teach from Year 1 to Year 6, either on a day-to-day basis or for long-term roles. Long-term roles may cover sickness, PPA time, course cover, management release, paternity/maternity leave, and interventions.

This role may or may not require planning. If planning is needed, you will be paid to scale. As a Supply Teacher, you will teach children in the absence of their original teacher, delivering lessons from plans provided, marking books, and providing feedback. You will observe behaviour, ensure children follow policies, and report any issues, including safeguarding concerns, to the on-duty DSL. You may support different schools daily or work at the same school long-term, full-time or part-time. Supply work offers flexibility to suit your commitments.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Good knowledge of the primary school National Curriculum across various year groups.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and methods confidently.
  • Experience teaching within the last 5 years and hold a QTS, PGCE, or ECT qualification.
What you'll get in return
  • Flexible working options.
  • A dedicated consultant as your point of contact through Hays.
  • Opportunities to work in different schools and explore options.
  • Competitive pay rates.
  • If you refer someone who completes 20 days of supply, you will receive £250 in vouchers.
