Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth invites undergraduates for a 12-month HR internship starting 19 July 2027. You will join the Human Resources team to support HRBPs, assist inductions, check right-to-work, and help with contracts, promotions and reporting in a busy aerospace environment.

The role offers 37 hours per week, hybrid working options, and a pathway to build experience in recruitment, early career assessment and broader HR projects within a leading European space company.

• Undergraduates only for the whole duration of the placement.
• Currently studying towards a degree in Human Resources, Business or related subjects.
• Be happy to speak and liaise with people at different levels.
• Able to complete note-taking with accuracy.
• Have an interest in HR.

About us:

The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for ensuring compliance with policy and legislation, employee relations, reward, managing headcount, skills and competencies, early career intakes and development. Within Portsmouth we support the business that develop, analyse and build satellites as well as the teams that ensure secure communications globally. We have HR support across the UK as well as globally and you will be part of this professional team.

What you will be doing:

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

This Job Request will be allocated to the projected Joint-Venture scope towards a leading European player in space.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
