Job summary

Autograph Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Officer/Advisor for a manufacturing and engineering business in the Forest of Dean. This full-time, permanent role focuses on providing practical HR guidance, employee relations support, and process improvements within a people-centric environment.

You will own HR activities alongside managers, maintain accurate records, contribute to recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance reviews, and help shape inclusive, high-performing workplace

Qualifications

  • Experience in an HR Officer/Advisor or similar generalist role.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and current employment legislation.
  • Confident supporting managers with employee matters.
  • Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive and approachable working style.
  • A CIPD qualification, or progress towards one, would be welcomed.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and employee changes.

Autograph Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing manufacturing and engineering business in the Forest of Dean with the appointment of an experienced HR Officer / HR Advisor.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that values its people and is investing in the development of its HR function. You ll work closely with employees and managers, providing practical advice while helping to improve processes, strengthen engagement and create a positive working environment.

This is not purely an administrative position. You ll have the opportunity to take ownership, share ideas and become a trusted point of contact across the business.

Your responsibilities
