Job summary

Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator to join the pre‑opening team for a new luxury hotel opening later this year. The role focuses on HR administration, data integrity, and support for employee relations in a high‑calibre environment.

Ideal candidates will have prior HR experience in hospitality, a professional demeanor, and CIPD or equivalent qualifications. The position is a nine‑month fixed‑term contract within a world‑class Hilton luxury brand.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Human Resources function within hospitality is essential.
  • Knowledge of CIPD or equivalent HR qualification is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanour.
  • Confidential handling of information and discretion are required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver refined HR administration including contracts and confidential documents.
  • Maintain accurate data entry in the hotel’s HR systems.
  • Support employee relations with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ensure recruitment processes including right-to-work checks are completed.
  • Contribute to departmental goals and people-focused initiatives.
  • Support training activities and preparation of materials.
  • Oversee pay reviews, absence monitoring, and wage queries.
  • Ensure mandatory safety, security and statutory training compliance.
  • Respond to team member and management queries promptly and professionally.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hotelier to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.

Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants ‑ Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud ‑ bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin‑starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world‑class spa, state‑of‑the‑art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

A Human Resource Coordinator plays a key role in delivering an exceptional colleague experience by providing refined HR administration support while upholding employee relations and departmental objectives to the highest professional standards.

  • Manage all HR administration, including employment contracts, correspondence, and confidential personnel files
  • Ensure accurate, timely entry and maintenance of data within the hotel’s HR systems
  • Support employee relations matters with the highest levels of confidentiality, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability processes
  • Ensure full adherence to recruitment and selection procedures, including the completion of all required right‑to‑work and immigration checks
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and people‑focused initiatives
  • Support departmental training activities, including inductions, work experience placements, careers fairs, and preparation of training materials
  • Manage pay reviews, absence monitoring, and wage‑related queries in line with company guidelines and legislative requirements
  • Ensure mandatory training compliance relating to security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Respond professionally and efficiently to team member and management queries

  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry or experience within a hotel environment
  • Working towards, or holding, a recognised Human Resources qualification (e.g. CIPD)
This opportunity is offered on a fixed‑term basis for a period of nine months
