People & Culture M&A Partner - International

Location: South Oxfordshire

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days office with flexibility after probation). Includes international travel!

The Company: I am partnered with a company that acquires, manages, and grows vertical market businesses. You’ll report to their Head of HR and work in a lean, high-trust environment where your impact will be visible.

The Job: Seeking a People & Culture M&A Partner to lead the people-side of mergers and acquisitions from due diligence to post-deal integration. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, acquisitive, and values-driven company. Travel across Eastern Europe is required.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead full M&A cycles from a People & Culture perspective – including due diligence, risk assessment, onboarding, and cultural integration.
  • Partner with newly acquired businesses to align HR practices, policies, and people strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Finance, and operational leaders across the group.
  • Advise at BP/HR Advisor level on sensitive casework and structural changes, acting as a trusted consultant.
  • Interpret and communicate people metrics, risks, and opportunities using data and spreadsheets.
  • Travel regularly across Eastern Europe and Scandinavia to meet stakeholders and build strong connections.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in M&A due diligence in an international environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidence handling complex HR data.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and people-related risks in M&A contexts.
  • Empathy, adaptability, and rapport-building skills in cross-cultural settings.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with willingness to travel and engage at all levels.
  • Languages (especially Eastern European or Scandinavian) are a plus.
