Job summary

Solo Support Services is a specialist healthcare provider in the UK, seeking a proactive HR Advisor to support a busy HR team. You will advise Client Relations Managers on employee relations, recruitment, policy and compliance, ensuring line with employment law and sector standards.

The role focuses on promoting a positive culture, supporting operational effectiveness, and delivering high-quality care through sound people practice. It is a full-time role based at Head Office.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience handling full HR caseload, including dismissal procedures.
  • Experience in regulated or healthcare environments is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with managers and staff.
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, customer-focused HR advice across employee relations, recruitment, policy, and compliance.
  • Support formal meetings, hearings, and investigations; prepare HR documentation and case records.
  • Maintain HR data and generate management information; support change processes including restructures and TUPE.

Solo Support Services is a specialist healthcare provider supporting adults and children with complex medical needs, learning disabilities and autism who are eligible to receive a Personal Health Budget. Working with clients we become the legal employer for staff who work on the packages. The Role

We are looking for a professional, proactive HR Advisor to work with our established HR Team to provide practical, customer-focused HR support across the company. Reporting to the HR Business Partners, you will advise our Client Relations Managers on a broad range of employee relations, recruitment, policy, and compliance matters, always working in line with employment law and healthcare sector standards.

You will play a key role in promoting a positive workplace culture, supporting operational effectiveness, and helping Solo Support Services deliver high-quality care through sound people practice. The role is a full-time role based at Head Office

Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
  • Provide timely, practical advice across the full range of employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and capability, flexible working requests, and wellbeing concerns
  • Support and attend formal meetings, hearings, and investigations
  • Prepare HR documentation, including letters, meeting outcomes, and case records
  • Ensure employee relations cases are managed consistently, fairly, and in line with company policy and employment law
HR Operations
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Produce HR reports and management information, including absence, turnover, and workforce metrics as directed by your line manager
  • Support organisational change processes, including restructures, redundancy and TUPE including harmonisation of terms.
Policy & Compliance
  • Ensure HR practice complies with UK employment legislation and healthcare regulations
  • Support the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across Solo Support Services
  • Support audits and compliance activities relating to HR documentation and workforce standards
About You
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role, managing a full caseload of employee relations cases independently, end-to-end up to and including dismissal
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience working in a regulated or fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with managers and employees
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving ability, and strong attention to detail
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Experience within healthcare, private healthcare, social care, or regulated services
  • Knowledge of safer recruitment and compliance requirements
