  • Supporting informal and formal employee relations cases, including performance, absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
  • Acting as a mediator to resolve workplace conflicts and promote a healthy, collaborative environment.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks early, escalating complex issues to senior colleagues when needed.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Collaborating with the People Operations Insights Analyst to interpret HR data and trends.
  • Using insights to inform decision-making, improve processes, and enhance the employee experience.

Policy & Process Development

  • Supporting the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practices.
  • Working with internal and external experts to ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies.

Strategic Projects & Leadership Support

  • Partnering with the Senior People Business Partner to deliver people strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Supporting change initiatives and people-related projects across the firm.
  • Upskilling leaders and managers in people practices, helping them grow their confidence and capability.

Culture & Values

  • Championing the company's values and behaviours in everything you do.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and role model for inclusive, respectful, and values-led leadership.

Ideal Candidate:

I'm looking for someone who is not only technically strong in HR but also people-focused, empathetic, and solutions-oriented. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Solid HR experience in a generalist or advisory role, ideally within a professional services or multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – you’re approachable, a great listener, and able to build trust quickly.
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills – you can navigate sensitive conversations with care and confidence.
  • Analytical mindset – you’re comfortable working with data and using insights to drive improvements.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proactive and organised – you manage your time well and can juggle multiple priorities.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards it) is desirable but not essential.
