Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking an HR Advisor to support a busy 24/7 manufacturing operation. You’ll spend time on the factory floor and at a desk, coaching managers and resolving people issues to maintain smooth operations.

In this generalist role you’ll cover recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, reward and wellbeing initiatives, while developing your broader HR experience within an international group. CIPD qualifications are valued.

Qualifications

• You will have experience as an HR Advisor or similar generalist role in a fast-paced environment.
• Food manufacturing experience would be a real advantage.
• You enjoy being on the shop floor and engaging with people at all levels.
• Solid employee relations experience and confidence coaching managers.
• Credibility with people at every level and a pragmatic, common-sense approach to HR.
• Organised, resilient and able to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and developing line managers to build people management capability.
• Managing employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary and performance issues.
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding activity.
• Driving wellbeing and engagement initiatives across the site.
• Advising managers on employment law and HR best practice.
• Supporting reward activities, including annual bonus processes.
• Getting involved in HR projects that improve the employee experience.
