Job Title: HR Assistant

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 per annum

Location: London

Reporting to: HR Manager / Head of People

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Fully Office Based

About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our client's busy HR team in London. This position is suitable for someone with a strong administrative background and a passion for supporting HR processes in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to delivering HR services across the business, supporting the full employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide administrative support across all HR areas including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training, and employee relations.
  2. Maintain and update employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  3. Assist with recruitment activities such as job postings, CV screening, and interview coordination.
  4. Coordinate onboarding processes including contracts, right-to-work checks, and inductions.
  5. Support payroll processing by collating and verifying data.
  6. Assist with internal communications and HR initiatives.
  7. Maintain HR systems and data integrity.
  8. Support performance review cycles and training tracking.
  9. Respond to HR queries from employees and managers.
  10. Participate in HR projects and process improvements.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in HR or administrative roles.
  2. Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Effective communicator capable of handling sensitive issues professionally.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  6. CIPD Level 3 or studying towards it is desirable.
  7. Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
