Job summary

Ford Mainwaring is seeking a proactive HSQE Advisor to promote health, safety, quality, and environmental policies across the business. The role involves site visits, audits, RAMS support, and maintaining accreditation systems.

You will work between the office and sites, manage documentation, and report to the Managing Director in a small, experienced team.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and industry accreditations.
• Experience in building services, construction or engineering preferred.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full driving licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Visit sites and engineers, carrying out audits and inspections across projects and procedures.
• Manage business accreditations and ISO systems, review contractor documentation and produce HSQE reports.
• Help ensure compliance across the business and support RAMS.

We are a reputable established business with a strong operational spread across the UK. We provide the full range of Facilities Management and M&E services including refurbishment and repair, planned maintenance, installation, energy conservation and project design.

The role of HSQE Advisor will include:

We are currently growing our business, and our office team and as a result we have a new opportunity for a HSQE Advisor. In this role you will play a key role in ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures are implemented and maintained across the business. You will promote a positive safety culture, ensure legislative compliance, support with RAMS and investigate accidents and non-conformances.

A key part of the role will involve being out and about visiting our sites and engineers, carrying out audits and inspections across engineers, sites, projects and procedures. You will also manage business accreditations and ISO systems, review contractor documentation, produce HSQE reports and help ensure compliance is maintained across the business.

This is a stand alone role, supported by our management team. You will be required to manage your own workload and split your time between the office and site visits.

You will report into our Managing Director and be part of a small and relaxed team, many of whom have been with the business for many years.

What we need from you?

Please note:

This role is office based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, with visits required to sites on occasion. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
