Job summary

AndRecruit is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to own HSEQ across a Blaenau Gwent-based manufacturing site. The role covers Health & Safety, quality, environmental and sustainability duties, working with senior leadership to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement. A NEBOSH qualification and strong leadership are expected to influence site-wide safety culture and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments and workplace compliance.
• Experience maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage effectively with production teams and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Health & Safety across the manufacturing operation, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
• Maintain and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures and working practices.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee workplace risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture, working closely with production, engineering and management teams.
• Identify operational risks and opportunities to improve workplace safety.
• Monitor Health & Safety performance and provide regular reporting to senior management.
• Maintain and develop ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and certification.
• Oversee corrective and preventative actions, supporting continuous improvement across the business.
