Job summary

IAA United Kingdom is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to support salvage and waste management operations across Banbury and Gloucester sites. You will lead health, safety, environmental and quality initiatives, ensuring compliance and driving a positive HSEQ culture.

Working with operational teams and regulators, you will develop risk assessments, audits and training while maintaining ISO management systems and ensuring legal compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is required.
• Experience in ELV processing, ATFs, waste management or similar high-risk environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience managing hazardous materials, depollution and fire risk controls.
• Internal or Lead Auditor qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems across Banbury and Gloucester sites.
• Develop and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation and environmental permits.
• Support and maintain ISO management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
• Conduct audits, inspections and monitor compliance across operations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and environmental events and drive corrective actions.
• Deliver HSEQ training and coaching to operational teams.
• Collaborate with regulators, auditors, contractors and customers on compliance matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance and operational excellence.
