Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead safety across highways and roadworks projects in the Warrington area. The role requires 50% site travel and on-site leadership across H&S, QMS and environmental matters.

You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments, audits and training, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards while supporting operational teams and subcontractors to maintain high safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' Health & Safety experience in highways/construction.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO 45001:2018.
• Experience in traffic management and live traffic environments.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the business.
• Develop, implement and continually improve Health & Safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support to operational and site teams.
• Lead site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Monitor compliance with statutory, client and certification requirements.
