Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager in Warrington. The role leads Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental matters with a primary focus on highways and roadworks, requiring regular site travel and strong regulatory knowledge.

You will develop policies, drive safe systems of work, and train site teams while ensuring compliance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, in a dynamic and active environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' Health & Safety experience within highways/civil engineering or construction.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or higher is essential, plus auditing/incident investigation training.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO standards.
• Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and safety risk control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continually improve Health & Safety performance across the business.
• Develop and implement Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work.
• Provide practical H&S advice to operation and site teams.
• Lead site inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with legislation, client requirements and certifications.
• Support and influence managers and suppliers to maintain high safety standards.
• Deliver Health & Safety training, toolbox talks and briefings.
• Lead the QHSE function and support continual improvement across Quality and Environmental systems.
