Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Leader to drive the highest safety standards across renewable energy projects in the UK. You will lead safety across the project lifecycle and act as the main advisor to internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role requires a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, more than five years in renewables, and proven leadership to build and manage a high-performance safety team. UK-wide travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in renewable energy.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven leadership with ability to develop and manage a team.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to UK project sites.

Job description

Piper Maddox is partnering with a well-established leader in the renewable energy sector that has been a prominent player in the UK market for many years. As a fully integrated Independent Power Producer (IPP), our client develops, constructs, owns, and operates utility-scale renewable energy projects across a diverse portfolio, including onshore wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

This is a key position within the business, responsible for driving the highest standards of health and safety across the project lifecycle. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely and compliantly while acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in the renewable energy sector, with exposure to utility-scale solar, BESS, and/or wind projects.
• A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent health and safety qualification).
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead, develop, and manage a team.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
