Job summary

Network Plus is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join the central HSEQ Team for one regional contract in Worsley, reporting to the HSEQ Lead.

You will drive safety and compliance, conduct inspections and support investigations to close findings promptly, while collaborating with the wider operations team to improve processes and training compliance.

Qualifications

• H&S qualification essential e.g. NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
• Experience in Utilities or Construction sectors desirable.
• EUSR Water Hygiene desirable.
• EUSR Shea Water desirable.
• IOSH Managing Safely desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance standards are maintained and address issues promptly.
• Complete verification inspections and follow up on closure of findings/non-conformances.
• Support accident and incident investigations and promote quality reporting.
• Complete and encourage unsafe acts/conditions and positive intervention reporting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on achievements and issues identified.
• Drive close out of corrective actions raised by Compliance and external auditors.
• Compile accident/incident stats for contracts and attend client meetings.
• Collaborate with the operations team to improve processes/systems.
• Promote safe behaviours on-site and in the office.
• Support training and competency requirements to meet high training standards.
• Assist QA Lead with accreditations and ISO standards (ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001).
• Support milestones and strategy plans on contracts.

As a HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team with responsibility for one of our regional contracts reporting to the HSEQ Lead.

Department: United Utilities

Location: Worsley

Compensation: £40,000 - £55,000 / year

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that safety and compliance standards are maintained, and any issues are addressed immediately
• Complete verification inspections – follow up on closure of findings/non-conformances
• Support the accident and incident investigations, and promote good quality reporting and closure
• Complete and encourage unsafe acts/conditions and positive intervention reporting
• Complete a weekly and monthly report on achievements and issues identified
• Communicate and drive an efficient close out of corrective actions raised by the Compliance Department and external auditors
• Compile Accident/Incident Stats for the contracts your support and attend client meetings
• Work with the wider operational team to maintain strong relationships and improve processes/systems where possible
• Drive the correct and safe behaviours out on-site and within the office
• Support the contract on training and competency requirements, ensuring that the contracts are achieving the highest standards of training compliance
• You will assist the Quality Assurance Lead with accreditations and provide support where required, with standards, including but not limited to ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 etc
• Support the business with delivering the milestone and strategy plan on contract
• Evolve within the business and be willing to learn more about the products / services that we provide.

Experience and Qualifications
