Job summary

Welsh Water is seeking a proactive HSEQ Advisor based at Alltami Depot, Mold, to join a central HSEQ Team supporting one of our regional contracts. You will promote compliance across the business, escalate issues, and drive document control and system compliance under the HSEQ Lead.

You will verify inspections, support investigations, and foster safe behaviours on-site and in the office, while ensuring training and competency requirements are met across contracts.

Qualifications

  • H&S qualification such as NEBOSH Certificate (essential)
  • EUSR Water Hygiene and EUSR Shea Water are desirable
  • IOSH Managing Safely is desirable
  • Experience in Utilities or Construction sectors is desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety and compliance standards; address issues immediately
  • Perform verification inspections and close findings/non-conformances
  • Support accident/incident investigations and promote quality reporting
  • Encourage reporting of unsafe acts/conditions and positive interventions
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on achievements and issues

HSEQ Advisor

Department: Welsh Water

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Alltami Depot, Mold

Compensation: £40,000 - £55,000 / year

Description

As a HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team with responsibility for one of our regional contracts reporting to the HSEQ Lead.

You will be responsible for promoting compliance throughout the business and for escalating all issues identified. You will also be responsible for ensuring employees are made aware of issues raised and and for promoting document control and system compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that safety and compliance standards are maintained, and any issues are addressed immediately
  • Complete verification inspections – follow up on closure of findings/non-conformances
  • Support the accident and incident investigations, and promote good quality reporting and closure
  • Complete and encourage unsafe acts/conditions and positive intervention reporting
  • Complete a weekly and monthly report on achievements and issues identified
  • Communicate and drive an efficient close out of corrective actions raised by the Compliance Department and external auditors
  • Compile Accident/Incident Stats for the contracts your support and attend client meetings
  • Work with the wider operational team to maintain strong relationships and improve processes/systems where possible
  • Drive the correct and safe behaviours out on-site and within the office
  • Support the contract on training and competency requirements, ensuring that the contracts are achieving the highest standards of training compliance
  • You will assist the Quality Assurance Lead with accreditations and provide support where required, with standards, including but not limited to ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 etc
  • Support the business with delivering the milestone and strategy plan on contract
  • Evolve within the business and be willing to learn more about the products / services that we provide.
Experience and Qualifications
  • H&S qualification (essential) e.g. NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
  • EUSR Water Hygiene (desirable)
  • EUSR Shea Water (desirable)
  • IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable)
  • Experience of having worked in the Utilities or Construction sectors (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving License
