Job description

MK Search is currently working alongside a Turnkey Provider with a strong presence across sectors such as M&E, Fabric, Civil Engineering, Fit out, and upgrade works within the construction industry.

Our client is looking to engage HSQE Advisors from a Civil Engineering background to join the northern division, based on-site in Warrington & Manchester areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employee-owned company that prioritizes progression, with scope to advance into a Health & Safety Manager role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Implement and promote the company's health and safety policies to prevent injury, ill health, damage, and wastage.
2. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements affecting the company's operations.
3. Promote health and safety policies and ensure awareness among all employees.
4. Conduct regular safety inspections on all construction sites, record findings, and provide feedback to project managers, the Group EHS Director, and the Project Director.
5. Close out actions from previous safety reports within set timescales.
6. Address any health and safety non-compliance among staff.
7. Assist project managers with accident investigations and timely report compilation.
8. Provide site operatives and sub-contractors with appropriate inductions.
9. Ensure suitable welfare and site setup facilities are in place.
10. Display statutory safety notices appropriately.
11. Complete permits to work correctly and ensure they are suitable for the tasks.
12. Store COSHH items securely, minimizing environmental risks.
13. Review and approve risk and method statements for suitability.
14. Perform any reasonable tasks requested by senior TSL personnel.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Experience working in a construction environment.
2. Relevant EHS vocational qualification.
3. Excellent communication skills across all levels.
4. Knowledge of legislation and its interpretation.
5. Effective time management and decision-making skills.
6. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
