Job Title: HSEQ Advisor

Location: Northamptonshire / Warwickshire

Salary: Negotiable (role can be PAYE employee or Self Employed / Freelance)

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to join our clients growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest standards across multiple sites nationwide.

About Us:

Our client is a reputable and dynamic Groundworks contractor, delivering high-quality civil engineering and groundworks solutions to residential, commercial, and infrastructure clients. Our work projects stem up and down the M1 corridor and typically commercial projects for main contractors.

The Role:

As our HSEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting and promoting a positive health and safety culture, ensuring environmental compliance, and driving quality improvements across our operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and legislation


• Advise site teams on best practices and support toolbox talks and site inductions


• Assist in the development, implementation, and review of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work


• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and implement corrective actions


• Maintain and update HSEQ documentation and reports


• Work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors

What We’re Looking For:

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential


• Experience in a similar HSEQ role within the construction or groundworks sector


• Knowledge of current HSE legislation and industry standards


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Full UK driving licence (site visits required)
