Job summary

Kenton Black in Norwich is helping a fast-growing contractor recruit an HSEQ Advisor to strengthen health, safety, quality and environmental standards across projects in East Anglia.

You will provide practical HSEQ support to site teams, run audits, investigate incidents and ensure compliance with UK legislation; NEBOSH/NCRQ/IOSH qualifications are required, and the salary ranges from £45,000 to £55,000 plus package. This is a hands-on senior role with exposure to senior management.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH / NCRQ / IOSH or other relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience working on water, utilities, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction industry best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with site teams, management, clients and subcontractors.
• A proactive and practical approach to health, safety, quality and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Providing professional HSEQ advice and support to operational and management teams across a range of construction and civil engineering projects.
• Ensuring projects comply with relevant UK legislation, company policies, client requirements and industry best practice.
• Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions
• Assisting with the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.

Due to the nature of the projects involved, they are looking for an experienced HSQE professional from a construction or civil engineering background who can provide practical support to project teams and management.
