Job summary

G.Network Communications seeks an HSEQ Advisor to support the Head of HSEQ, lead the implementation of management systems, and ensure compliance with ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001 in a London-area setting.

You will monitor performance with metrics, advise stakeholders to drive continual improvement, and ensure regulatory, legislative and corporate compliance while developing KPI-driven initiatives across business units.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent is essential.
• Membership with IOSH or equivalent CPD evidence is required.
• Demonstrable HSEQ experience in a comparable industry.
• Proven track record delivering HSEQ objectives.
• Ability to set and meet stretch targets.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Persuasive with the ability to influence across all levels.
• Strong problem-solving and change leadership skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the HSEQ strategy, KPIs and objectives.
• Support the HSEQ Management System and governance, ensuring ISO alignment.
• Ensure regulatory, legislative and corporate compliance.

• Analyse data, produce relevant reports and drive targeted prevention.
• Investigate incidents and ensure regulatory notifications when needed.
• Review training needs to meet business requirements.

• Ensure lessons learned from audits are communicated and implemented.
• Coordinate regular HSEQ communications and audits.

HSEQ Advisor

The HSEQ Advisor will support the Head of HSEQ maintaining oversight of all HSEQ matters. Lead the implementation of management systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement, including (certification/alignment to) ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001. Uses metrics to monitor and hold stakeholders accountable for results. Provides support and advice to stakeholders on all aspects of HSEQ, meeting legal, regulatory and company standards and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement and positive change.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

• NEBOSH Certificate in health and safety or equivalent
• Membership with an accredited Institution (i.e. IOSH), or equivalent evidence of continuing professional development
• Demonstrable competence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality in a comparable industry.
• Proven track record in the delivery of HSEQ objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to support a functional strategy to set and meet stretch targets
• Good written and oral communications.
• Persuasive with strong influencing skills across all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong decision maker effectively driving change and continuous improvement.
• Strong Microsoft office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Knowledge of data systems and ability to use IT to collect, analyse, interpret and present information

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE

• The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 operational experience

Job Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the implementation of the HSEQ strategy, KPIs and objectives within Business Units.
• Support the implementation of the HSEQ Management System and governance structures. Ensure compliance and continuous improvement, including (certification/alignment to) ISO45001, ISO -14001 and ISO 9001
• Ensure regulatory, legislative and corporate compliance
• Develop, advise, and lead initiatives, engaging with the GNLT and employees to support continual improvement.
• Support the implementation of appropriate HSEQ key performance indicators (KPI’s), analyse data, produce relevant reports, and initiate targeted prevention/intervention.
• Ensure any event that warrants actual or potential regulatory notification is investigated and reported to relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Review HSEQ training requirements for all levels within the Business Units/Programmes. Ensure they meet business needs and support continual improvement.
• Ensure that the Business Units are supported to meet their HSEQ management system requirements and objectives.
• Communicate and engage with the Business Units to implement the HSEQ strategy.
• Provide leadership for HSEQ across all G.Network and Partners, inspiring and promoting an improved HS&E culture.
• Ensure lessons learned are effectively communicated and implemented from incidents and audits
• Ensure regular and effective HSEQ communication channels
• Support the Business during incident/accident investigations.
• Promote HSEQ initiatives and innovations
• Conducting site HSEQ inspections, visits & joint tours
• Responsible for audit programme
• Manage external stakeholders, regulators and reputation in line with the overall business approach
