Job summary

TEC Partners - Technical Recruitment Specialists is seeking an experienced HSEQ professional to own and develop the company’s HSEQ systems across design, manufacturing, projects and site installation. Translate board aims into practical policies and be the first contact for HSEQ guidance.

You will manage ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, lead internal and external audits, and maintain records and KPIs while driving continuous improvement and staff training. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma required.
• 5+ years HSEQ experience in an operational environment.
• Experience with ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 and UK HSEQ legislation.
• Risk assessments and incident investigations experience.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Desirable: CDM exposure, EN 1090, UKCA/CE marking.

Responsibilities

• Run HSEQ day to day and translate Board-level aims into practical policies, procedures and actions.
• Manage the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001), including document control.
• Monitor legal and client compliance, maintain the legal register, and report HSEQ KPIs.
• Plan and run internal audits, and host external audits (ISO certification, supplier assessments, inspections).
• Review RAMS, permits to work and safe systems of work.
• Maintain statutory inspection records (LOLER, PUWER, PAT) and COSHH assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, share lessons learned.
• Support environmental objectives, manage aspects and impacts register.
• Manage non-conformance, corrective action and customer complaint processes.
• Maintain training and competency records, approve subcontractors, and deliver inductions.
• Drive continuous improvement using audit data and feedback.

Job description

Own the running and development of the company's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) management systems across design, manufacturing, project delivery and site installation, including work under CDM in end-user environments such as utilities. You'll turn Board-level strategy into practical plans and procedures, act as the first point of contact for HSEQ advice, and be trusted to challenge constructively at every level. You'll be supported by an HSEQ Coordinator and report to a senior HSEQ and People leader.

Responsibilities

• Run HSEQ day to day and translate Board-level aims into practical policies, procedures and actions
• Manage the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001), including document control
• Monitor legal and client compliance, maintain the legal register, and report HSEQ KPIs to senior management
• Plan and run internal audits, and host external audits (ISO certification, supplier assessments, client and regulatory inspections)
• Carry out workshop and site inspections, and review and approve RAMS, permits to work and safe systems of work
• Maintain statutory inspection records (LOLER, PUWER, PAT) and COSHH assessments
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and share lessons learned
• Support environmental objectives, including the aspects and impacts register
• Manage non-conformance, corrective action and customer complaint processes

Requirements

• NEBOSH Diploma
• 5+ years' HSEQ experience in an operational environment (construction, manufacturing, facilities), ideally with EN 1090 or UKCA/CE marking exposure
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001, and of UK HSEQ legislation
• Experience of risk assessments and incident investigations
• Strong written, analytical and IT skills (Word and Excel)
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
• Desirable: manufacturing or engineering background, CDM experience, TechIOSH, CSCS/SSSTS/SMSTS, EUSR water hygiene card or similar utilities accreditation, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or IEMA membership
