HSEQ Advisor

Compensation: £35,000 - £45,000 / year

Description

As a HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team responsible for one of our regional contracts, reporting to the Senior HSEQ Advisor.

You will promote compliance throughout the business, escalate issues, ensure employees are aware of raised issues, and promote document control and system compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance standards are maintained; address issues promptly.
• Perform verification inspections and follow up on findings/non-conformances.
• Support accident and incident investigations; promote quality reporting and closure.
• Report unsafe acts/conditions and encourage positive intervention.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on achievements and issues.
• Communicate and facilitate the timely closure of corrective actions with the Compliance Department and external auditors.
• Compile accident/incident statistics and attend client meetings.
• Collaborate with the operational team to strengthen relationships and improve systems.
• Promote safe behaviors on-site and in the office.
• Support training and competency requirements to ensure high standards of training compliance.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Lead with accreditations and standards such as ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001.
• Contribute to the delivery of the contract’s milestones and strategy plan.
• Continuously develop knowledge about our products and services.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• H&S qualification, e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in Utilities or Construction sectors (desirable).
• Full UK Driving License.
