The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. The role involves maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage and liaise with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations.
- Create, monitor, and update procedures within the Quality Management System.
- Coach and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance.
- Plan and conduct audits, document findings, and implement best practices.
- Provide training on HSEQ topics to internal staff.
- Ensure processes deliver expected outcomes and report on performance and improvements.
- Promote customer focus and maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures.
- Perform regular site inspections and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Develop health and safety strategies and internal policies.
- Lead training sessions on QHSE topics.
- Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and produce reports.
- Stay updated with legislation and industry developments.
- Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
- Ensure safe installation of equipment and manage hazardous substances (COSHH).
- Advise on specialist areas such as fire regulations and occupational diseases.
- Manage emergency procedures, signage, PPE, and COSHH controls.
- Qualifications: NEBOSH General or equivalent.
- Demonstrate passion and robust knowledge in HSEQ subjects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE.
- Auditor training/experience preferred.
- Hands-on approach to implementing processes and change.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
- Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status).
