Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage and liaise with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations.
- Create, monitor, and maintain procedures within the Quality Management System.
- Coach, guide, and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance.
- Plan and conduct audits; record outcomes and implement best practices.
- Provide training on HSEQ topics to internal personnel.
- Ensure company processes meet their intended outputs.
- Report on HSEQ performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Promote customer focus throughout the organization.
- Maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop operational procedures considering hazards.
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure policies are followed.
- Ensure safe working practices and legislative compliance.
- Develop health and safety strategies and internal policies.
- Lead training sessions on QHSE matters and risks.
- Keep records of inspections, incidents, and accidents; produce reports and statistics.
- Stay updated on legislation and industry developments.
- Attend relevant seminars and read professional journals.
- Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
- Ensure safe installation of equipment.
- Manage disposal of hazardous substances (e.g., asbestos, COSHH).
- Advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safeguarding, and occupational diseases.
- Manage emergency procedures, signage, PPE, and COSHH controls.
- Qualifications: NEBOSH General or equivalent.
- Demonstrate passion and robust knowledge of HSEQ subjects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, DSE.
- Auditor training/experience preferred.
- Hands-on approach to implementing processes and change.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
- Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status).
