Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Health & Safety certification is essential.
• CSCS card is required.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site compliance procedures.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the site.

• Experience in investigating accidents, incidents and near misses.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily HSEQ support and guidance to site teams.
• Write, review and update RAMS to minimise risk.

• Support safety alerts, toolbox talks and project reporting.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as required.

Position: HSEQ Advisor

Location: Peterhead, Scotland, United Kingdom

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

Working Arrangement: Site based

An experienced HSEQ Advisor is required for a leading earthworks and construction contractor to support a major project based near Peterhead. This is a key site-based role working on a complex and high-profile scheme with an expected project duration of approximately 2 years. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and growing business with approximately 500 employees nationwide, a turnover of circa £187 million, and backing from a larger construction group. Working closely with the HSEQ Directors, HSEQ Manager, site teams, and the on-site client, you will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest standards. This opportunity would suit someone with previous experience within earthworks, civils, or construction environments looking to progress within a major contractor.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with teams at all levels.
• Strong IT skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse complex information and communicate it clearly and effectively.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently on site.
