Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking an HSE Officer in Northampton to uphold and enhance health, safety and environmental standards across manufacturing, warehouse and office operations. You will collaborate with site management to ensure legal compliance and promote a proactive safety culture.

The role involves conducting inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations, plus delivering inductions and toolbox talks to staff.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience in Health & Safety, HSE, SHEQ or EHS roles.
• Experience carrying out inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of accident investigation and corrective action processes.
• Experience developing Safe Systems of Work and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety walks.
• Create, review and maintain Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and safety documentation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Support environmental compliance activities, including waste management and spill control measures.
• Deliver HSE inductions and employee awareness programmes.
• Inspect and maintain safety equipment, emergency equipment and first aid provisions.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and reports.
