Job summary

Vickerstock, in partnership with a leading specialist engineering firm, seeks a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to promote a positive safety culture across manufacturing, assembly and project operations. You will develop safe systems, support site teams, lead incidents, and drive continuous improvement in a technically complex environment.

The role requires NEBOSH or equivalent, ISO/OSH knowledge, and the ability to travel between sites with a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

HSE experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or M&E.
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
Working knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance frameworks.
Experience carrying out HSE audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Experience developing RAMS and safe systems of work.
Full UK driving licence with travel between sites.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain HSE policies and systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant frameworks.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and audits with implementation of controls.
Provide day-to-day HSE support across multiple locations.
Lead incident investigations and drive preventive actions.
Promote behavioural safety and drive continuous improvement.
Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions and inductions.
Monitor HSE data and produce regular reports and identify trends.
Act as main point of contact for Health, Safety and Environmental matters.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a proactive safety culture.
