Job summary

AB Dynamics is seeking a hands-on HSE Officer to support the Group Health, Safety and Environment Manager in meeting objectives and ensuring QHSE systems are followed by all employees, contractors and visitors.

You will conduct audits, promote safety culture, deliver toolbox talks, manage risk assessments and assist with data collection for energy and emissions reporting as part of the net zero program.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and guidance.
• Competent with general IT software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues.
• Knowledge of QHSE Management Systems.
• Valid driving licence held.
• Internal Auditor for ISO 14001, 45001 & 9001.
• Holding Tech IOSH status or higher and committed to development.
• Technical background in manufacturing preferred.
• Environmental qualification such as IEMA Foundation Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits per the QHSE audit program and close actions.
• Promote Health and Safety culture on sites to raise awareness.
• Conduct HSE training sessions / toolbox talks as required.
• Assist with risk and COSHH assessments development/review.
• Record incidents, near misses, and assist investigations.
• Analyse HSE data to identify trends and drive improvement.
• Communicate HSE information and safety alerts to staff.
• Assist with quarterly HSE Committee meetings.
• Review and update management system documentation and registers.
• Assist with external audit preparations.
• Collect and monitor energy/carbon data for annual report and net-zero program.
