Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Avonmouth, Bristol, is seeking a proactive HSE Manager to lead the safety culture on a brand-new Waitrose contract from day one. You will shape safety processes, coach leaders and drive continuous improvement across transport and warehousing, ensuring colleagues return home safely every day.

With NEBOSH General Certificate and strong stakeholder influence, you will guide audits, develop safe systems, and partner with site leaders to embed a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• HSE leadership experience in transport and warehousing.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with start-up/new projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE activities for a new DHL operation, establishing a Safety First culture.
• Drive HSE projects, implement safe systems, and train staff across transport and warehousing.
• Collaborate with leaders to ensure compliance, manage audits and promote proactive safety.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving HSE projects, implementing safe systems, processes and training across transport and warehousing.
• Partnering with leaders and stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage audits and embed a proactive safety culture.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Experienced HSE professional with a strong background in transport and warehousing,
• Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience of working through a new start up/similar projects would be beneficial
• NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
