Job summary

NRL is seeking an experienced HSE Manager (COMAH Experienced) to join a major engineering EPC contract on a full-time, permanent basis. The hybrid role combines on-site work at Grangemouth with remote working, delivering safety leadership across the project team.

You will oversee QHSE, liaise with regulators, conduct risk assessments and audits, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with COMAH and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an HSE leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of HSE legislation and industry standards within engineering or EPC environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of COMAH regulations and compliance.
• Skilled in audits, incident investigations and development of HSE strategies.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills with all levels of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments, audits and ensure robust control measures are in place
• Develop and lead HSE audits and investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
• Distribute safety alerts, action plans and implement effective induction programmes for new personnel
• Drive a positive HSE culture and continuous improvement across all project activities

This hybrid role combines time on-site in Grangemouth with remote working, providing an excellent opportunity for a health, safety and environment professional to make an impact on a key EPC contract.

Location and Working Pattern

• Grangemouth
• Hybrid working: Minimum four days on-site, one day remote
• Full-time, Monday to Friday
