Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment. You will ensure legal compliance, drive improvements and foster a proactive safety culture across operations.

The role is full-time, on-site at the North Walsham location. You will manage risk assessments, audits, incident investigations and training, while coaching managers to embed best-practice HSE across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in HSE management within manufacturing/FMCG.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment and incident investigation.
• Experience conducting audits and managing corrective/preventive actions.
• Good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to train, coach and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections with corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into accidents and near misses with root cause analysis.
• Develop and deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness programmes.
• Coordinate emergency response plans, fire safety and first aid.
• Monitor HSE performance, analyse trends and report KPIs.
• Manage contractor safety and ensure compliant documentation.
• Coach managers to embed a positive safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement across HSE performance.
