Job summary

CTS Group is recruiting an HSE Lead for a flagship data centre project in Middlesbrough, UK. You will lead health, safety, and environmental activities across the construction lifecycle, reporting to the Project Director and collaborating with management, subcontractors, and client reps.

Essential qualifications include NEBOSH Diploma and 5+ years in senior HSE roles on large projects, with a strong grasp of UK H&S legislation and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or Construction Certificate or equivalent
• NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
• IOSH GradIOSH/CMIOSH or working towards Chartered status
• Minimum 5 years in senior HSE role on construction/ Data Centre projects
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S laws and CDM 2015

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of the HSE management system.
• Foster proactive safety culture across project teams and stakeholders.
• Act as the primary HSE advisor to leadership and site management.
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation and client requirements.
• Develop project-specific HSE plans, procedures, and policies.
