Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Senior Construction & Development Health & Safety Lead in London to own safety across the full project lifecycle, from design through to handover. The role designs policy, manages contractors and ensures compliance with CDM 2015 and ISO standards within a fast-growing hyperscale data centre developer.

Requires 10+ years EHS experience, degree qualification and professional certifications (IOSH/CSP advantageous).

Qualifications

• 10+ years EHS experience across hyperscale data centres or similar.
• Degree-qualified with professional EHS certifications; IOSH/CSP advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and European/Nordic H&S requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction EHS strategy, risk management and safety standards.
• Champion Safety in Design and address risks early in projects.
• Oversee high-risk activities and contractor assurance.
• Drive incident investigation, RCA/CAPA and continuous improvement.
• Travel extensively across the UK, Nordics and Europe.
