Job Description:

This role requires a Full UK driving licence with regular travel to branches in and around the South West.

What will you do?
  • Provide agreed HSE improvement activity support to the Head of HSE to deliver the business’ HSE Annual Operating Plan.
  • Identify and design continual improvement programmes with the Head of HSE, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • Drive improvement programmes based on risk profile, incident experience, and industry learning, including areas like workplace transport, product handling, and out-of-branch activities.
  • Participate actively in colleague-focused HSE forums and support them in completing HSE projects.
  • Support Distribution Centre management in enhancing HSE culture and performance.
  • Implement HSE improvement programmes and monitor their success.
  • Support BU leaders in high-risk branches with visible support and action plans for safety excellence.
  • Review HSE data streams to provide insights for risk reduction and safety improvements.
  • Assist in resolving complex HSE issues escalated by the lead HSE Advisor or Group Head of Environment.
  • Support Incident Review Boards with technical expertise to ensure learnings and actions are shared across the business.
