Job summary

WENBAR LIMITED in the United Kingdom seeks a Health, Safety & Compliance Manager to develop and maintain the group's Health & Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and international standards.

You will lead safety initiatives, audits, training, reporting, supplier and contractor compliance, and environmental/governance programs, driving continuous improvement and risk reduction across operations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate required (minimum).
• Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation.
• Audit experience.
• Risk assessment experience.
• Incident investigation experience.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent Microsoft Office user.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Health & Safety strategy and ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Maintain compliance with relevant HSE legislation and PUWER/LOLER where applicable.
• Develop, review and implement Health & Safety policies and RAMS.
• Coordinate RAMS and Safe Systems of Work; conduct inspections and audits.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; carry out root cause analysis.
• Oversee accident reporting, KPI dashboards and training compliance.
• Coordinate Fire Risk Assessments and emergency planning; ensure First Aid and Fire Warden provisions.
• Manage COSHH, LEV and PPE compliance; monitor contractor safety.
• Lead internal, supplier and customer audits; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Produce monthly environmental, safety and compliance reports for Senior Leadership.
