Safety Talent is seeking an HSE Advisor/Manager to develop and implement the company’s HSE strategy across geotechnical and infrastructure projects, with focus on practical guidance for leaders, managers and site teams.

The role supports ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards, enabling the business to maintain best-practice safety across challenging environments and rail/road interfaces. National scope, with base near Glasgow or Bristol and regular UK travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSE across construction, infrastructure or geotechnical projects.
• Exposure to ISO management systems (9001/14001/45001) with practical implementation.
• Strong ability to engage with leadership, managers and site operatives.

Job description

Role: HSE Advisor / Manager

Location: Glasgow or Bristol, with regular travel across the UK

Sector: Geotechnical, infrastructure and specialist construction

Salary: £45-60,000, plus car allowance of £5,892 and 55ppm or fuel card.

An exciting new opportunity with a growing specialist geotechnical and infrastructure contractor that has a genuine commitment to safety and high standards. Currently supported by an external consultancy, the business is now looking to make its first in-house HSE appointment.

This is a national role that can be based near either of the company's key locations in Glasgow or Bristol.

The successful candidate will help shape the company's future HSE strategy, build on its strong foundations and support a continued best-practice approach across its operations, this includes ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Working closely with the senior leadership team, project managers, supervisors and site-based operatives, you will provide practical HSE guidance across a varied portfolio of projects.

The company undertakes specialist geotechnical and infrastructure works, including rope access, slope stabilisation, rockfall protection, drainage remediation, vegetation management and structural repairs. Its teams operate in challenging environments, often around railways, roads, steep ground and other critical infrastructure.

Ideal candidate requirements:

• This role is open to a confident HSE Advisor with a good overall understanding of HSE, and exposure to ISO management systems.


• The company would be open to someone at Manager level who will take on additional responsibilities, taking more ownership over ISO and other accreditations.


• Must have experience in a similar environment, such as construction, infrastructure, rail or geotechnical.


• Must be confident and proactive, able to engage with the team and drive positive improvements.
