Job summary

GDS Partners in Bristol are recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of a leading M&E contractor for a permanent role based in Bristol, UK.

You will carry out site inspections, risk assessments, and reviews of RAMS, promoting a proactive HSE culture across project teams while ensuring compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Relevant health & safety qualification (Degree or NEBOSH).
• Experience within construction or M&E sector.
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Experience carrying out site audits, inspections & incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

About the Role:

• Main Duties Will Include, But Not Be Limited To:


• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments


• Promote a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental culture across all project teams


• Ensure compliance with company procedures and UK Health & Safety legislation


• Review RAMS, permits to work, and other site safety documentation


• Support site management teams with Health & Safety advice and guidance


• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions


• Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings


• Monitor subcontractor compliance and maintain high HSE standards across the site


• Produce HSE reports and maintain accurate site records


• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies where required

Requirements:

• Relevant Health & Safety qualification, e.g. Degree or NEBOSH


• Previous experience within the construction or M&E sector


• Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations


• Experience carrying out site audits, inspections, and incident investigations


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


• Full UK Driving Licence
