HSE Advisor

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus Car/Car allowance

We are currently seeking a HSE Advisor to join our Highways Engineering clients. The role is based near Gloucester and offers a salary of £55,000 plus car/car allowance.

Responsibilities for HSE Advisor

1. Ensure compliance with HS&E legislation, health, safety, and environmental standards.
2. Liaise effectively with the contract team and the internal HSE Management Team.
3. Generate reports, identify necessary remedial actions, and support their implementation.
4. Oversee contractor employees, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
5. Maintain high housekeeping standards across the contract and implement necessary improvements.
6. Review, complete, and support the development of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
7. Conduct COSHH assessments and ensure the effectiveness of supply chain documentation.
8. Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety requirements.
9. Verify the presence and maintenance of health and safety signage and protective measures.
10. Monitor fire precautions to ensure compliance with safety standards.
11. Oversee emergency preparedness procedures, ensuring their effectiveness.
12. Ensure correct application of CDM Regulations where required.

Requirements for HSE Advisor

1. Proven experience providing health and safety guidance.
2. Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
3. Experience and knowledge of Highways.
4. NEBOSH qualification (mandatory).
5. IOSH certification (desirable).
6. Full UK Driving licence.
