Job description

Project Health and Safety Advisor required on a contract basis to operate as a Client Side Safety Representative.

We are seeking a Health and Safety Consultant to serve as a Client Side Safety Representative for an upcoming c10 week construction project in Gloucester.

The role has been assessed as Outside IR35. Immediate start required, realistically within 7 days. The contract can be run through your own Ltd Company or an Umbrella Service.

Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the point of contact for all health and safety matters on behalf of the client.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Ensure the implementation of safety procedures tailored to the specific needs of the project.
  4. Provide ongoing safety training and awareness programs for personnel involved in the project.
  5. Provide recommendations for preventive measures.
  6. Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders as necessary.
  7. Check RAMS of contractors on site.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Health and Safety Consultant on construction projects.
  2. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities.
  5. Relevant certifications or qualifications in health and safety i.e. NEBOSH, CertIOSH status.
  6. You will ideally currently live within 1 hour of Gloucester.
