Job description

Jackson Hogg is proudly supporting a specialist manufacturing business in North Yorkshire with a HSE Advisor position reporting to the Operations Manager.

HSE Advisor Responsibilities
  1. Help the Site Management Team to maintain and continually improve compliance with safety regulations set by HSE.
  2. Establish and develop the near miss and hazard reporting system.
  3. Facilitate the site management audit programme.
  4. Assist in completing investigations, corrective actions, and assessing their effectiveness.
  5. Support the manufacturing management team in risk assessment plans, audits, and action plans.
  6. Coordinate communication and understanding of the HSE policy, programmes, and systems.
  7. Support the Operations Director & Managing Director in reporting performance.
  8. Monitor progress against plans and support managers in task completion.
  9. Track performance of internal HSE targets and ensure they are met.
  10. Deliver HSE performance and housekeeping improvements aligned with company targets and legal obligations.
  11. Respond to requests for information from the Site Management Team.
  12. Prepare submissions to external agencies as required.
HSE Advisor Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial HSE, tools, techniques, improvement methodologies, and process analysis.
