Job summary

E3 Recruitment's client, a leading manufacturing business near Stanford Le Hope, Essex, seeks an experienced HSE Advisor to coordinate and manage integrated management systems related to Health, Safety and Environment at the site.

Based on a days-based, Mon-Fri schedule in the Basildon/Stanford Le Hope area, the role offers a £55,000 per year basic salary with potential flex for the right candidate, a production bonus, 33 days annual leave, a company pension and opportunities for IEMA, HSE

Qualifications

• Experience as HSE coordinator/advisor or HSE administrator.
• Experience in factory/manufacturing environments.
• Solid knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement of ISO/IMS processes.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture prioritising health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure statutory obligations and company policies are understood and followed by direct reports.
• Audit the Integrated Management System (IMS) and track SHE progress.
• Collate, analyse and report HSE data for the site.
• Coordinate training and ensure the skills matrix is up to date.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver the Safety Health & Environment strategy.

Our client is an industry leading manufacturing business with a multimillion-pound turnover and impressive growth plans, supported with large scale investment, and an existing established network of manufacturing facilities across the site

Following further growth at their factory based local to the Stanford Le Hope area of Essex, our client is now seeking to appoint a HSE advisor, to coordinate and manage integrated management systems related to Health, Safety, Environmental processes, and compliance within the factory, embedding and developing ways of working specific to factory and manufacturing operations.

This presents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HSE coordinator / advisor or HSE administrator to transfer knowledge and experience from other, or similar industries.

Key Responsibilities of HSE Advisor include:

• Promote a culture where the health and safety and wellbeing of colleagues is the absolute priority.
• Ensure all statutory obligations, company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to, by all direct reports, always.
• Track progress of SHE Assure actions for the team.
• Carry out SSOP reviews & Manage SHE Assure, progress actions.
• Ensure Factory Risk Assessments are up to date and compliant.
• Audit the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Collate process and report all factory HSE data.
• Manage skills matrix and course bookings.
• Collaborate with all business stakeholders to ensure the Safety Health & Environment Strategy is delivered and all relevant legislation is always compiled to.
• Provide accurate, timely and technical advice to colleagues in resolving issues in H&S and reducing environmental impact.
• Use data to identify and prioritise issues that affect the business, establish their root cause, and provide findings and recommendations for business improvement.
• Manage occupational health monitoring in line with the business policies.
