Join our team at Terex and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated HSE Advisor to contribute to the Ballymoney team. As a key member of our team, you will partner with the management team to foster a safety-first culture and drive our Zero Harm goal. Your proactive approach will help ensure the business is compliant with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, while continuously improving our safety performance.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation as well as company policies and requirements.
- HSE Performance KPI reporting, environmental monitoring, and measurement.
- Lead HSE Steering meetings and Safety Committees.
- Assist in Claims management processes.
- Regular review of HSE Risk Assessments, Policies, and Procedures.
- Support HSE and continuous improvement Projects.
- Conduct Accident/Incident investigations on site and support other investigations.
- Work with regulatory enforcement agencies, insurance agencies, and occupational health providers.
- Identify and deliver HSE Training requirements and deliver training as necessary.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure completion of HSE improvement plans and deployment of HSE/SIF roadmaps.
- Ensure the safety of contractors and visitors on site.
- Support HSE budget management, including processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries.
- Coordinate and consult with leadership teams.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks and duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar (candidates working towards qualification are encouraged to apply).
- Experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation.
- Good knowledge of Risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and Display Screen Equipment.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate.
- NEBOSH Environment Certificate or similar.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Well-being at Work.
- Train the Trainer Certificate.
- Knowledge of PPC Regulations, UK Packaging regulations.
