Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd. is recruiting two Site Engineers to join a major HS2 project in the West Midlands on a initial 6-month contract.

The role focuses on structural works, with emphasis on reinforced concrete and rebar installation, requiring strong site-based experience in setting out and surveying. The candidates will regularly liaise with the client, coordinate subcontractors, review drawings, and ensure procedures and QA documentation are followed to support timely delivery

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong setting out and surveying skills.
• Experience on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with reinforced concrete works preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure permits are in place before site work begins.
• Complete ITPs and QA checks as work progresses.
• Carry out setting out and surveying.
• Coordinate subcontractors on site.
• Manage distribution of information using document control.
• Develop procedures for works in the area.
• Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with client regularly.
• Mark up design drawings reflecting works completed.
• Coordinate with other sections to avoid clashes on site.
• Review procedures for efficiency.
• Support delivery and quality control of structural works.
