Job summary

PHD Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer for a leading RC frame contractor on HS2, based on-site in London. You will support delivery of complex concrete structures such as shafts, stations, bridges and tunnel access works on a high-profile rail project.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree or HNC with proven RC frame delivery experience and CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS. This contract role offers a daily rate and strong progression toward senior engineering or site management roles.

Qualifications

Requires degree or HNC in Civil Engineering.
Proven RC frame or structural concrete delivery experience.
Knowledge of temporary works, formwork and reinforcement detailing.

Responsibilities

Support site and project management teams in planning RC frame packages.
Interpret drawings and ensure construction aligns with design specifications and tolerances.
Oversee setting out, concrete pours, reinforcement works and formwork systems.
Liaise with client engineers, designers and subcontractors to resolve technical queries.
Ensure works comply with HS2 specifications, safety and quality requirements.
Assist in preparation of method statements, risk assessments and technical documentation.
