Avanti West Coast is seeking an experienced HR Services Manager to lead HR Services and Recruitment Administration across the organisation. You will drive high-quality service delivery, lead a multi-disciplinary team and optimise HR processes and systems.
The role focuses on building a customer-focused HR service, developing KPIs, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and GDPR, and delivering data-driven insights for stakeholders across payroll and the business.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Services Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality HR Services and Recruitment Administration across the organisation.
This is a key role in developing and improving our HR service, with responsibility for leading a multi-disciplinary team, optimising HR processes and systems, and ensuring a consistent, customer-focused service across the employee lifecycle.
Lead and develop HR Services and Recruitment Administration, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery within agreed SLAs.
Drive a high-performance, customer-focused culture and continuous improvement.
Develop and monitor HR KPIs, quality standards and service performance.
Manage the Occupational Health contract and external supplier relationships.
Work closely with the Head of HR, HR Business Partners and HR Systems teams on service improvements and business-wide projects.
Ensure HR policies, procedures, contracts and processes comply with UK employment law and GDPR.
Build effective relationships with Payroll and wider business stakeholders.
Produce insightful KPI, Board and management reporting.
Lead the performance, development and engagement of the HR Services team.
You will have:
Significant experience as an HR Services Manager, ideally within a unionised environment and rail or transport sector.
Experience managing general HR Administration and Recruitment services.
Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law, HRIS (ideally Core) and HR KPI metrics.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing, leadership and organisational skills.
Advanced Excel skills and experience producing KPI reports, Board packs and actionable insights.
Experience leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team.
