Job summary

Truro & Penwith College is seeking an experienced HR Associate to support colleagues across the College, helping attract, develop and retain talented people while delivering an excellent employee experience.

This role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, based at our campus in Threemilestone, and involves recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR systems, and policy improvements.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management.
• At least 3 years' experience in HR, recruitment and employee relations.
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
• Support employee relations matters, including absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance cases.
• Ensure HR systems and records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
• Contribute to staff wellbeing initiatives and employee engagement projects.
• Help shape and improve HR policies, processes and practices across the College.
